This is a penal action brought in the name of the Commonwealth v. The American Express Company, wherein it is alleged that the defendant is a joint stock company organized under the laws of New York, and that on the 27th of November, 1914, it was- engaged in the business of a common carrier of goods and merchandise for hire in Grayson county, and in the Caneyville precinct of that county, and that on that date- and for compensation it unlawfully and knowingly transported into Caneyville precinct…
