GREENE, Judge.

Karen Foreman (Defendant) appeals her conviction for driving while impaired (DWI).

Defendant received a DWI citation at 2:45 a.m. on 16 November 1996. Prior to trial, Defendant made a motion to suppress the evidence obtained during the investigatory stop of her vehicle on the grounds that the stop was unconstitutional. At a voir dire hearing on Defendant’s motion, Officer Doug Ipock (Officer Ipock) testified that a DWI traffic enforcement checkpoint had been established on Neuse Boulevard on 16 November 1996.
