Shirley Goodman brought this action against Audrey and Nikki Lee in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana under the Declaratory Judgment Act, 28 U.S.C. § 2201 et seq., and the Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq. Goodman claimed to have written the song “Let The Good Times Roll” in conjunction with Leonard Lee, the deceased husband and father of appellees.
