On June 25, 1980, Rhonda Minor discovered that the home of Glen Bradberry in Albertville, Alabama, had been burglarized and vandalized. Mrs. Minor, who had agreed to periodically check on the house while the Bradberrys were on vacation, immediately ran to a neighboring house and called the police. Jim Temple, an Albertville city detective, responded to Mrs. Minor's call. He searched the area upon arrival and then took photographs of the interior of the home.
