OPINION
SHEA, Justice.
This case is before the court on plaintiffs appeal from the grant of a directed verdict in favor of the defendant. On April 8, 1978, the plaintiff, Richard A. Moody, filed a complaint in Superior Court against the defendant, State Trooper Paul G. McEl-roy, alleging two counts of false imprisonment. A jury trial ensued. At the close of all the evidence the trial justice granted a motion for a directed verdict. We affirm.
