Defendants appeal by certiorari from an order of the commission of the department of labor and industry awarding compensation for the accidental death of Mrs. Eva Harmon on November 5, 1923, resulting from a collision of the automobile in which she was riding with an interurban electric railway car at a highway crossing between the city of Hancock and Calumet, in Houghton county, Michigan. Plaintiff, Florence Stockley, is a sister of deceased and guardian of her son, Edward Harmon, a minor then 9 years of age and wholly dependent on his mother for support.
