BROWN, District Judge.
Twenty-three harbor tugs claim salvage compensation in the above 19 libels, for services rendered to the steamship Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse in extricating her-from fire at *964the Hoboken docks at about 4 o’clock in the afternoon of June 30, 1900.'
The fire was one of the most rapid and destructive that has ever .occurred to the shipping in this port. It broke out at the docks of the North German Lloyd Steamship Company, in which many lives and much merchandise were lost, and three large steamers of the .company were almost wholly destroyed.
