Appellant was convicted of robbery and sentenced to imprisonment in the penitentiary for forty-five years.

On August 28, 1975, the victim, Arlene Fletcher, answered the front doorbell to her home. She was at that time confronted by a lone male with a pistol. She was then forced back inside her home and later tied up. The victim described the man as a black male with a long face, with a beard and sideburns.
