A conviction for premeditated first-degree murder under an aiding and abetting theory is not duplicitous of a conviction for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder even when the two convictions are based on the same act. Even if the two convictions involve a single act of violence, they are different offenses because the convictions arise from violations of different statutes with different elements.
