The appeal relates only to the deficiency judgment. The action was brought to foreclose a mortgage on real estate in Hartford which, on November 15th, 1928, had been sold by the plaintiffs to the defendants. The purchase price was $80,000, of which the defendants paid $16,000 in cash and assumed a first mortgage of $10,000. The balance was represented by a note of $54,000 secured by the mortgage sought to be foreclosed. Judgment of strict foreclosure fixing the amount of the debt at $56,939 was rendered May 27th, 1932.
