LACOMBE, Circuit Judge.
The object of the invention, as stated in the specification, is to “provide a new and improved feed especially designed for use on screw-cutting engine lathes, to conveniently and rapidly change the speed of the feed screw according to the requirements of the screw to be cut. The invention consists of certain parts and details, and combinations of the same, as will be fully described hereinafter, and then pointed out in the claims.” There are two sets of devices availed of in the patent to effect changes of speed.
