This suit was brought by Saraphin Vo-grin, appellant, to recover damages against the Forum Cafeterias, respondent, for personal injuries sustained by her as the result of falling on the public sidewalk on the west side of Main Street in front of respondent’s cafeteria at 1212 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri, on August 16, 1953. The plaintiff instituted this suit on the theory of nuisance and prayed for damages in the sum of $20,000. The jury returned a verdict in favor of plaintiff in the amount of $1,000 on February 2, 1956, and judgment was entered…
