Iiln this case involving the ambush killings of two police officers, the defendant, Tonya Smith, was convicted by a jury of two counts of second degree murder, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of an unidentifiable firearm, conspiracy to possess a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of marijuana, third offense.
