Cliff Berry, Inc. (“CBI”), and Jeffrey Clint Smith (“Smith”) (collectively, “the defendants”) were convicted of two counts of first degree grand theft and two counts of organized scheme to defraud24 for their organized scheme to steal jet fuel and money from the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (“the Aviation Department”).
