This action is brought on a writing executed by the defendants, under seal, on September 2, 1883, for the discharge of Joseph Bachman from arrest in a civil action, brought by the plaintiff herein against said Bachman, in this court, to recover the sum of §1,000, Avith interest and costs, whereby they undertook and “obligated” themselves, not only that said Bachman would render himself amenable to the process of the court during the pendency of the action, and to such other process as might be issued to enforce any judgment given therein, but also that said Bachman would pay any such…
