This is an action against Dalles City to recover for the services of certain laborers employed by the street commissioner, which labor was performed in laying down a certain sewer within the corporate limits of said city. The amended complaint, after alleging that the defendant was a municipal corporation at and during all the times thereinafter stated, alleges that during the month of May, 1884, one W. F.
