Kaplan, Judge, convicting him of wire fraud, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1343 and 2 (1994); securities fraud, in violation of 15 U.S.C. §§ 78j(b) and 78ff (1994); and conspiracy to commit those crimes, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371 (1994), and sentencing him principally to 87 months’ imprisonment, to be followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
