In this case the five defendants were charged with various narcotics and weapons violations: criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first, second, third and fourth degrees; criminal sale of a controlled substance in the first and third degrees; criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree; criminal possession of marihuana in the fifth degree; and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
