In this small claims action, plaintiff, Elba Rodriguez, as guardian of Eric Rodriguez, alleges physical abuse of her child by defendant, Janet Johnson, a school bus matron. Eric Rodriguez’s demeanor established his upset and humiliation as a result of being struck, both at the time of, and subsequent to, the incident. Eric’s mother testified that prior to the episode her son had looked forward to going to school and to riding the bus with Ms. Johnson.
