This is an original proceeding in which ,-Harold Leniger, who is presently incarcerated in the Oklahoma State Penitentiary, has petitioned this court for a writ of ha-beas corpus alleging that his present incarceration is the result of an illegal judgment and sentence. Petitioner alleges that he was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1939 on a jury verdict finding him guilty of the crime of murder, Case No. 1600, Logan County, Oklahoma.
