Petitioner Gary Goforth filed for dissolution of his marriage to Marilyn Goforth in the circuit court of Jackson County. The respondent objected to that venue and perfected an appeal to this court pursuant to Supreme Court Rule 308 (87 Ill. 2d R. 308). In a Rule 23 order (In re Marriage of Goforth (1981), 99 Ill. App. 3d 1205, 429 N.E.2d 212), we found that the petitioner had failed to prove that proper venue for his action existed in Jackson County and ordered that the respondent’s motion to transfer venue to Washington County be granted.
