The State, of Mississippi, on the relation of the Attorney General, sued Republic Oil Refining Company in the Chancery Court of Washington County for recovery of certain allegedly unpaid gasoline taxes, and penalty claimed to have become dne prior to later legislation on tlie subject in 1946. From an adverse decree, the State prosecuted this appeal.
