MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

CASTILLO, District Judge.

This hotly-contested lawsuit — in which two former guards at the Cook County jail have alleged a conspiracy by Defendants 1 to cover up inmate abuse — has been pending before this Court for over two and a half years. It is the oldest lawsuit presently pending on this Court’s docket. During the course of this litigation, this Court has resolved 146 contested motions, 2 mainly concerning discovery disputes between the parties.
