On December 8, 1888, Nikola Tesla made application for two patents pertaining to electrical transmission *546of power and a system therefor. Both of these were issued December 26, 1893, numbered, respectively, 511,559 and 511,560. While these applications were awaiting action by the Patent Office, and on February 18, 1889, Tesla filed his application for a patent for a method of operating electro magnetic motors, upon which he thereafter, on April 16, 1889, was granted a patent, No. 401,520.
