BOEHM, Justice.
Jeffrey Richard Ortiz was convicted of the murder, felony murder and robbery of Rebecca Ortiz, his adoptive mother. The State requested and the jury recommended that Ortiz be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for intentionally killing her while committing or attempting to commit robbery. The trial court followed the jury’s recommendation.
