PIVARNIK, Justice.

Bruce E. Gonzales was convicted by jury of rape, a class A felony, and of criminal confinement, a class D felony. The trial court sentenced him to concurrent sentences of forty (40) years on the rape conviction and four (4) years on the criminal *1168confinement conviction. He directly appeals challenging solely the sufficiency of the evidence to support his convictions.
