In its inception, the defendant association was organized to acquire and conduct the business of the Davidson Fruit Company and the growers’, union. In effect it was a consolidation of the interests of those two corporations. In consideration thereof, the association issued 3,500 shares of its capital stock to the Davidson Fruit Company and 6,500 shares to the growers’ union, the amount of which was the total stock authorized by its articles of incorporation.
