MARIS, Circuit Judge:

The appellant, Grant Cooper, is serving a sentence of life imprisonment under a judgment entered in the Circuit Court of Mobile County, Alabama, upon a plea of guilty of murder in the first degree. He filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus in the District Court for the Middle District of Alabama contending that he was incarcerated in violation of his constitutional rights. After an evidentiary hearing, the district court concluded that appellant had failed to sustain the burden of showing that his rights had been violated and the petition was dismissed. This appeal…
