This is a suit of vital public interest to all Arkansans. It concerns the Cache River and Bayou DeView and is still another attempt to alter the natural state of those streams and to destroy what little remains of the benefits they offer Arkansas as a habitat for wildlife. The drainage area affected is one of the prime locations in Arkansas for waterfowls; consequently, it is one of the best duck hunting areas in the state.

The reasons for the proposed change is to make it possible for some landowners in the northern part of the basin to clear and cultivate their lands. This was clearly stated…
