The preexisting national guardianship over mixed-blood Indians of .the White Earth Reservation was not terminated by the Clapp Amendment. Only those mixed bloods who actually lived the Indian .tribal life were recognized as members of the tribe.

CERTIFICATE FROM THE CIRCUIT. COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE EIGHTH CIRCUIT. The case is stated in the opinion. The preexisting national guardianship over mixed-blood Indians of .the White Earth Reservation was not terminated by the Clapp Amendment. Only those mixed bloods who actually lived the Indian .tribal life were recognized as members of the tribe. Treaty of August 2, 1847, 9 Stat. 904, 905; Treaty of March 19, 1867, 16 Stat. 719, 720.
