On October 18, 1937, certain citizens of the town of Warfield, in Martin County, Kentucky, claiming to constitute two-thirds of the voters within the district sought to be incorporated as a municipality of the sixth class, filed their petition in the Martin circuit court under the provisions of Section 3714 of Baldwin’s 1936 Revision of Carroll’s Kentucky Statutes, wherein they asked that the territory therein set out be incorporated as a sixth class town.
