The accused was indicted, in nine counts, for the offense of bribery, was convicted on counts 1 and 6, and acquitted on the rest. He moved for a new trial on the general grounds and on the ground of newly discovered evidence. The exceptions here are to the judgment overruling his motion for a new trial, and to the admitting of certain evidence in support of the State’s counter-showing with reference to the newly discovered evidence.
