This is a companion case to Civil No. 8846, which was brought by Louise Van Ornum individually and on behalf of her minor children and as trustee for the Workmen’s Compensation Bureau, against the same defendants for the wrongful death of Claude Van Ornum, her husband. The present action is brought by the plaintiff • as personal representative of the deceased for conscious pain and suffering and for punitive damages.
