Reynaldo Figueroa-Sanabria was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder after stabbing John Travlos and Germana Morin to death on their houseboat. See § 782.04(1)(a), Fla. Stat. (2013). At the end of the penalty phase, he was sentenced to death for each murder. This is Figueroa-Sanabria’s direct appeal of his convictions and sentences, over which we have jurisdiction. See art.
