After Crisanto and Delores Delson and their minor daughter, Dorthea Delson, were killed in an automobile accident, the couple’s surviving children and the representative of the decedents’ estates brought this wrongful death action against the Georgia Department of Transportation (the “Department”). The jury returned a verdict for the Department, and appellants, the plaintiffs below, now appeal from the denial of their motion for a new trial, arguing that the jury’s verdict for the Department is contrary to law and the evidence.
