This proceeding concerns a sewer project known as the Surrey Place Sewer Project (the Project) pursuant to which the respondents intend to rip up a section of 179th Street. The intention is to replace the existing sewer lines with sewer lines of greater capacity, in order to alleviate flooding conditions in the Jamaica Estates section.
