HIGGINSON, Circuit Judge:

Thomas A. Nelson, Jr., the former may- or of New Roads, Louisiana, appeals his conviction for corruption-related offenses, along with the district court’s calculation of his sentencing range. For the reasons articulated below, we AFFIRM Nelson’s conviction, VACATE his sentence, and REMAND for resentencing consistent with this opinion.
