A custodial defendant in Ingham County smuggled a shank into a courtroom and assaulted the prosecutor with it. The courthouse security cameras recorded the entire incident. Judge Aquilina had access to the recording because of her position with the court, and she decided to let a journalist view and copy the recording. Sheriff Wriggelsworth did not like seeing the courthouse recording in the public domain and directed Defendant Buckland to investigate what happened.
