The plaintiffs testatrix, Elizabeth E. Playford, died October 22, 1960, at the age of 85, leaving a simple will dated March 18, 1957, which was duly admitted to probate on March 2, 1961. In it, the testatrix made four bequests of $25 each to four friends, and then disposed of the residue as follows: “Third: I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, of every kind and nature and wherever situated, including lapsed legacies and including any property over which I have any power of disposition by virtue of any power of appointment now or…
