COFFEY, Circuit Judge.

Defendant Brown appeals his sentence alleging that the trial court erred in designating him as a career offender under Section 4B1.1 of the Sentencing Guidelines. 1 We affirm.

I. FACTS AND DISTRICT COURT DISPOSITION

On August 27, 1990, while on a weekend pass, the defendant escaped from the Madison County Jail Work Release Center, approximately 10 days prior to release on parole for two armed robbery convictions.
