The only question to be decided in this case is, whether the purchaser at sheriff’s sale of the lessor’s title and interest to and in a house and lot of ground, which had been regularly taken in execution, condemned and sold by the sheriff, be entitled to demand and receive from the lessee, the tenant in possession, the whole of 212 dollars 50 cents, being a half year’s rent which became payable fourteen days after the purchasers had paid the purchase money to the sheriff and received from him his deed, duly executed and acknowledged,…
