This is an original action in habeas corpus instituted by the petitioner, J. W. Grimes, for the purpose of securing his release from confinement in the State Penitentiary.
The verified petition alleges that on November 17, 1945, the petitioner was sentenced by the district court of Osage county to serve a term of 2 years imprisonment in the State Penitentiary following his conviction for the crime of burglary; that thereafter, and on June 19, 1946, the petitioner was released from the penitentiary on pa role; while at large on said parole, and on May 26, 1947, the petitioner was arrested,…
