Dawson, J.:

This was an action for damages caused through the operation of a defective and dangerous automobile.

The defendant corporations were engaged in gas and oil development in Woodson county. In this work they employed a number of men, and used a number of automobiles, one of which was a Ford car which was out of repair. Its front' axle and radius rods were bent so that it could not be controlled.
