The Defendant, Corey Jackson, appeals from his conviction of distribution of marijuana and his enhanced sentence, as a second felony offender, to 15 years imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of probation or suspension of sentence. For the reasons which follow, we affirm.

On July 10, 2000, the St. John the Baptist Parish grand jury indicted the Defendant on one count of distribution of marijuana, in violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A)(1), which allegedly occurred on May 4, 2000. The Defendant was arraigned on November 13, 2000 and he pled not guilty. On March 19…
