These appeals arise from the indictment of. nine men on multiple felony charges relating to shootings, assaults, and murders that occurred in the Benning Terrace housing complex in the Southeast quadrant of the District of Columbia from 2009 to 2011.1 Appellants Marcellus McCray, La-monte Henson, Antonio Fortson and Timothy Parker were tried together by a jury presided over by the Honorable Henry F.
