CLECKLEY, Justice:

The plaintiff below and appellant herein, Phyllis Barlow, appeals from a final order entered September 13, 1995, by the Circuit Court of Hardy County, which denied her motion for a new trial following an adverse jury verdict. On May 19, 1995, a Hardy County jury determined that the-defendant employer, Hester Industries, Inc., did not discriminate against Barlow on the basis of age or sex and did not discharge her m retaliation for engaging in activities protected by the West Virginia Human Rights Act.
