Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Smith, J.), rendered July 12, 1991, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of two counts of the crime of burglary in the second degree.
*838During an investigation of a series of residential burglaries, the State Police focused their attention on Anthony Guarini and defendant. Based on information obtained, the police followed the two suspects to a local store where it was expected they would sell recently stolen jewelry.
