HINES, Justice.

David Heredia Velazquez was tried before a jury and found guilty of felony murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of Mario Cruz. The issue of Velazquez’s competency was tried before a special jury, and he was found competent to stand trial. Velazquez appeals his felony murder conviction and the denial of his motion for new trial, as amended, challenging both the competency proceeding and the criminal trial. Finding the challenges to be without merit, we affirm.
