The plaintiffs were the OAvners of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter, hereafter called the north forty; the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter, hereafter called the middle forty; and the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter, hereafter called the south forty; all in section Id, and together constituting a tract of land in dimensions approximately of a mile east and Avest, and f of a mile north and south.
