The county treasurer of Pierce county filed his petition, on behalf of the county in the above entitled cause, claiming certain taxes alleged to be due from the insolvent bank for the year 1894, and from the receiver of the bank for the years 1895-6. The shares of capital stock of the bank were duly assessed on the first day of April, 1894, by the county assessor, and the county treasurer now demands from the receiver the payment of the tax so levied upon the shares of capital stock for the year 1894.
